D. A. Hodges will not seek re-election

Albany -- In a press release this morning, Dougherty County District Attorney Ken Hodges announced that he will not stand for re-election to another term at his post.

He is supporting Assistant D.A. Greg Edwards who will presumably campaign for the office.

While the press release touts Edwards' qualifications and dedication, it does not address why Hodges will not run, or what his plans are for the future.
