Albany -- It was a clean sweep for the Deerfield-Windsor track and field team at the GISA Region-3 AAA championships, as both the boys and girls won region titles at Hugh Mills Stadium Tuesday.
The Knights placed first with a team total of 123.
Westfield (46) finished 2nd, followed by Sherwood Christian Academy (36) and Southland (25).
The Lady Knights took first with a total of 132, followed by Westfield (79), Sherwood Christian Academy (19), and Southland (6).
Kelly Conway won the 1600 meters for DWS in a time of 5:48, and led the girls with 18 points.
Deerfield's John Smith racked up 19 1/2 points in the boys competition.
Smith won the 100 meter dash with a time of 11:00 seconds, and cleared 15-feet to capture the pole vault title.
DWS won both 4X100 races, with the girls finishing in 52.66 seconds, and the boys 49.92.
Sherwood Christian's Stephen Cannady defended his region title in high jump, and the Eagles Nile Knapp won the boys 300 meter hurdles.
Southland's Chance Israel took first in the 110m hurdles, finishing in 18.13, and Deerfield's Tory Knight won the girls 100m hurdles in 17.54.
Deerfield's Melissa McClure raced to a 100m win in 12.96 seconds.
Ja'Voris Bland won the triple jump with a leap of 39-feet, 8-inches.
The state title meet begins next Thursday at Hugh Mills Stadium.
