Clinch County - The Department of Agriculture confirmed today it was poison that killed 35 cattle in Clinch County.

The Department says they tested three cows that dropped dead Sunday on a farm bordering the Clinch County, Lanier County line.

They says the cattle had consumed the toxic insecticide aldicarb, which is sold under the brand name Temik.

The insecticide was also found in their feed trough but was not found in random bags of unopened feed.

They are now working to determine if the poisoning was criminal or accidental.
