Thomasville-- The Downtown Read Around event was the second annual literacy fair put on by the Thomas County Library System.

A couple hundred parents and kids came for the fun and left with some valuable information.    Nancy Tillinghast, Director of the Thomas County Public Library System says, "All these tables have people who have information for children, for adults, what is available in the community for them, for literacy."

A character costume contest and other activities helped show kids they can have fun with reading.
