Valdosta - Florida State continues to build a strong 2009 recruiting class almost a year before the February signing day.
Lowndes safety Gerald Demps is the latest early commitment for Florida State.
Demps told FSU coaches he is comign to Tallahassee after his senior season with the Vikings during a visit to Seminole spring practice on Wednesday.
Demps, a key player for the Vikings 2007 AAAAA state championship, saysFSU feels like home.
Gerald Demps said "It is just like playing at home in Martin Stadium. you feel the same way about the fans when you -play there."
One of Gerald Demps high school teammates will be a rival in college.
Receiver/defensive back Greg Reid committed to Florida in February.
