Albany -- A 25 year old Albany man is indicted for feticide for beating a pregnant woman and killing her unborn child.

Prosecutors say Kenneth Johnson beat, kicked, and hit Tarneicia Calloway in January at an apartment on Nottingham Way. Her unborn child died. Dougherty Chief Assistant District Attorney Greg Edwards said "there seems to be a trend toward growing domestic violence incidents here in Dougherty County. And we are doing all we can to stem this new tide."

Edwards said the earliest that Kenneth Johnson could be tried is July. He is in the Dougherty County Jail.
