Valdosta -- Nearly 400 students from daycare to high school will visit the 911 center in Lowndes County this week.
They'll get to tour the 911 center and meet firefighters and police officers, but what the kids enjoyed the most were the drug dogs.
"Children are fearful of what law enforcement does and to see the K-9 and talk to officers, really builds a rapport," said 911 Director Danny Weeks.
These field trips are part of National Telecommunications week. re the drug dogs.
