Albany -- Darton College students showed off their artistic abilities Wednesday.

Darton's annual Art Fair showcased dozens of paintings, sculptures, multimedia artworks, and pieces of pottery.

Dancers also performed. Every piece and performance was created by a Darton Art Major this school year.

"The arts are important because it is a part of who we are as people. No matter what your major is or what your job is, I think having that sensitivity to it, no matter whether it is literary arts, performing arts, or visual arts. It just enriches our lives," said Assistant Professor of Arts, John DiMino.

A competition was also held during the Art Fair with winners receiving cash prizes.
