Americus -- Felony charges against a former Sumter County Sheriff's deputy are dismissed.
In December, 2006 23-year-old Wesley Stanfield was charged with child molestation.
In April of 2007, two charges - child molestation and false imprisonment - were dismissed in Sumter County Superior Court.
The district attorney appealed the decision, but the court of appeals upheld the dismissals.
Monday, the judge dismissed the final count of rape. The accusation dated back to 2001 when Stanfield was 18 and a jailer. The girl was 14 then.
