Athens - Georgia coach Mark Richt is hoping for a big crowd for the Bulldogs G-Day game Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
Plenty of Bulldog fans are expected to attend to get a glimpse of a team that may start the season ranked number one in the nation.
Georgia fans will also get their first look at running back Caleb King.
Regarded as the top player in the state in 2006, Georgia was able to redshirt the former Parkview and GAC star last fall.
This season, Mark Richt and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo are looking forward to seeing King and last season's SEC freshman of the year Knowshon Moreno in the same backfield.
Caleb King said "I think it is going to hard for the opposing defense. I believe we can both make plays. I know he (Moreno) can. I believe he can too. We will see what happens."
True freshman running backs Ricahrd Samuel and Dontavius Jackson enrolled early and are going through spring practice and highly touted Carlton Thomas will join the backfield in August.
G-Day starts at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
Former Bulldog greats D.J. Shockley, Greg Blue, Frank Ros and Kevin Butler will serve as honorary coaches.
