April 2, 2008

Coffee County - A Douglas teen was killed in an early morning crash.

19 year-old Whitney Wright was driving a Ford F-150 south on George Dean Road in Coffee County.

State Troopers say Wright was speeding and lost control of the truck just after 1:00 AM Wednesday.

She and her passenger, 21 year old Johnny Smith of Westgreen were ejected when the car collided with several trees.

Wright died on the scene.

Smith has been transported to a hospital in Savannah. His condition is unknown at this time.
