Former Wildcat ready for first AFL start

April 1, 2008

Kansas City, Mo. - Former South Georgia Wildcats quarterback D. Bryant will make his first AFL start this week.

Bryant will be under center when the Kansas City Brigade play the Georgia Force Friday night at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth.

Bryant set an AF2 record with 4680 passing yards last season and he also threw 102 touchdown passes.

Bryant signed with Kansas City in late February and has been a backup for the Brigade whose offensive coordinator Rickey Foggie had the same post last year for the South Georgia Wildcats.

Kansas City is hoping Bryant can turn around a Brigade team that is 0-4 after making the AFL playoffs last year.
