Valdosta State holds spring game

Valdosta -- The defending national champion Valdosta State football team held its annual spring game Saturday.

The white squad would claim a 17-10 win, with freshman quarterback Chris Hart rushing in for the game winning touchdown.

Junior QB Tucker Pruitt from Fitzgerald had an outstanding day under center, completing 15 of 17 passes for 133-yards and a touchdown.

Hart led the white squad with 66-yards rushing on 11-carries, and also combined with Russ Calloway to complete 11 of 14 throws for 169 yards.

VSU begins its 2008 schedule August 23rd when the Blazers host Fort Valley State at 7pm.
