Cordele -- Just yards away from where kids play - are blood stains on the pavement - remnants of a deadly shooting at Cordele's Sunset Homes early Friday morning.

18-year-old Chris Williams has lived here his entire life. He says, "We teach ourselves to get used to it, but in the back of our mind, it's what they call hell. It's hell."

He lives just a few doors away from the parking lot where 20-year-old Dwayne Waters and 21-year-old Dontaye Gordon were both shot several times. Waters was treated for his injuries and released. But Gordon, a father with another child on the way, did not survive.

Speaking on the fatal gunshots that rang out shortly after 3 a.m., Williams said, "Once I heard one, I got out of the area because that's no place you need to be - around no gunshots."

Police issued felony murder warrants for 19-year-old Rekeldric Geraud Jones and 20-year-old Tito Deontae Troutman who they say both pulled guns and opened fire on the victims. Jones just finished serving a prison sentence in December for robbery.

For now, left over crime scene tape is a reminder of the cold blooded killing in a neighborhood where even kids can find shell casings near the playground.

Williams said, "I hope everybody can start to get together man and start to communicate with each other. Without that communication, ain't gonna be no understanding, you feel me?"

And while a child will now enter the world without ever knowing their father, police hope to catch the killers for this crime.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tito Deontae Troutman and Rekeldric Geraud Jones, is asked to contact the Cordele Police Department.
