Americus- A man arrested on murder charges in Alabama is back in Sumter County Thursday.
Johnny Ray Cochran was extradited from Alabama yesterday and appeared before a Sumter County magistrate judge.
He's charged with murdering Melony Strickland. Cochran was considered a suspect shortly after Strickland was found shot to death in her Middle River Road home last August.
