Worth County - A truck making an improper pass is believed to have caused a fatal accident Wednesday afternoon in Worth County. State troopers tell us 18-year-old Steven Wayne Dietzel was killed on impact when his Ford Explorer was hit head-on by a Chevrolet Silverado on Red Rock Road about 3 o'clock.
The driver of the truck, 17-year-old Jason Eugene Williams, was severely injured. His passenger, 14-year-old Matthew Patton, was also hurt. Both Williams and Patton were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with their injuries.
Troopers think Williams made an improper pass. He'll be charged with vehicular homicide.
We're told the victim was not wearing a seat belt and was on his way to pick up his younger brother and sister from school.
The Georgia State Patrol says the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) will be at the crash site along Red Rock Road in Worth County Thursday morning to complete a further investigation.
