Albany - The South Georgia Wildcats will have a new quarterback this season and a new person calling plays.
With offensive coordinator Rickey Foggie now with the Kansas City Brigade in the Arena Football League, head coach Derek Stingley will have his offense run by committee.
Charlie Davidson has the title of offensive coordinator but Randy Leindecker, who was the Wildcats line coach last season, will work with Davidson running the offense.
Davidson played 11 years in the AFL and his only season as a coordinator was on defense last season at Okalhoma City.
Davidson says his defensive experience will help him run an offense.
Charlie Davidson said "It actually gives me an opportunity to actually run plays that actually gave me problems. Especially with Stingley and myself, he is a defensive coordinator also. Us together collaborating and also Leindecker. We should be able to come up with a good offensive game plan."
The Wildcats will trim the roster to 23 players on Sunday and open the season a week from Saturday at Tennessee Valley.
The home opener is April 5th at the Civic Center against Louisville.
