Cleveland, MS -- The Valdosta State women's basketball team advanced to the South Region finals with a 58-53 win over Arkansas Tech Saturday night.
It's the second-straight upset for the Lady Blazers, after knocking off Tampa Friday.
Nina Risto led the way for VSU with 18 points and 4 rebounds.
Michelle Thompson added 16 points.
Valdosta State is now 26-5, the program's highest win total since reaching the Final Four in 1983.
The Lady Blazers will square off against top-ranked and undefeated Delta State in the Sweet Sixteen Monday night at 7pm in Cleveland, Mississippi.
