Lowndes County - A Cook County jailer is charged with DUI.
A state trooper pulled over Daron Williams on Bemiss Road in Valdosta early Saturday morning for going 80 miles per hour in a 45 zone.
He was arrested for DUI.
His passenger, Lewis Clark, was charged with possession of marijuana, open container, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Officials in Cook County say Williams is still on the job, but they are meeting with the sheriff to determine what actions need to be taken.
