Albany --  Eighth grade students blasted off Monday afternoon to see the launch of space shuttle Endeavor early Tuesday morning.

Endeavor's launch just happens to coincide with Sherwood Christian Academy's 8th grade field trip to the Kennedy Space Center.  Students in Paulette Cope's class will camp out tonight at a campground near Kennedy Space Center and are excited to see the launch.

"See the astronauts see Kennedy again, it's just fun," says 8th Grader Hunter Anderson.

"We've been learning about meteors the parts of the space shuttle and the atmosphere a lot of stuff about outer space," says 8th Grader Payton Fountain.

On Tuesday, they'll tour Kennedy Space Center and have lunch with an astronaut before they camp out again under a Saturn Rocket.
