Albany -- Thousands of excited fans filled The Albany Civic Center Wednesday night to see the legendary Harlem Globetrotters in action.

Fans began filing in around 6:00 p.m. and the show certainly did not disappoint when the players took the hard court showing off their skills, tricks, and even lending a laugh or two.

"The response from the crowd has been marvelous. You can't get enough from making a kid smile or seeing somebody smile," said Globetrotter player Scooter Christensen.

WALB's own Tonya Kilpatrick hosted the WALB/Cumulus Broadcasting half-time show where fans got to see even more stunts and tricks.

Unfortunately, none of the three contestants selected for the half-court shot made the basket  to win a trip to New Orleans.

This is the Globetrotters 82nd consecutive year of touring.
