Macon - Revenge is sweet for the Turner County boys basketball team.
The Rebels upset number one ranked Wilkinson County 52-50 in the Class A boys semifinals on Wednesday.
Wilkinson County beat Turner County 67-45 in last year's semifinals in the Warriors run to the state championship.
Turner County used a 14-4 run to end the first quarter to build a ten point lead.
The Warriors cut it to five at half but Turner County was back up by ten in the third quarter.
The defending state champions cut the lead to one but Turner County held on to make it to the Class A title game.
Demetris Ewing led Turner County with 19 points.
The Rebels now play Hancock Cetnral Saturday at 12:45 p.m. in Macon.
Number one ranked Terrell County girls beat Southwest Atlanta Christian 56-49 in the Class A girls semifinals Wednesday.
Monshay Thomas led the Lady Greenwave with 19 points and Timnah Hendry added 11 points.
Terrell County plays the winner of the other semifinal game between Calvary Day and Towns County on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. for the Class A girls championship.
