A distracted driver is killed in a head on collision

Americus- A deadly head-on collision in Sumter County Wednesday, was caused by a woman sending a text message.
Twenty two year old Shana Baker's car crossed the center line of U.S. 19 South in Sumter County and hit another car head on. Troopers say Baker was using her cellphone to send a text message. She was killed in the crash.
"Basically it appears that one of the vehicles crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head on," said Sumter County Sheriff Pete Smith.
Forty-two year old Margaret Williams of Florida was driving the van that was hit. She's in serious condition.
