Leesburg -   Lee County wins their home opener 10-9 over Colquitt County.

Brian Hegle had a bases clearing double for the Trojans in the second inning.

College baseball, former Lee County star Buster Posey had three runs batted in to lead Florida State to an 11-4 win over UNC-Asheville.

In Atlanta, former Lee County Trojan Thomas Nichols had a r.b.i. in the Yellow Jackets 4-1 win over Western Carolina.

In the SEC, former Tift County star Scott Shuman got the victory in Auburn's 10-2 win over Davidson.
