Ashburn -- The Turner County boys basketball team is in the state semifinals for the second year in a row, and has found little opposition on the road to the Final Four.
The Rebels have been winning in the postseason by an average of 17 points, and have won 23 of their last 24 games.
The only teams to beat the Region-2 Class-A champions this season are AAA Worth County and AAAAA Tift County.
Turner County will face defending state champ Wilkinson County in the semifinals Wednesday.
The Warriors ended the Rebels run last year in the Final Four last year.
While the schools are the same, the teams are different, as Wilkinson County graduated two Division-I players from last seasons team.
"They got different players," says head coach Eric Holland. "They don't have the same muscle that they had last year, but they got a really good team, and we're going to have to be ready to play to hang in there with them."
Turner County takes on Wilkinson County Wednesday at 8:30pm in Macon.
