Crisp County -- Two people in Crisp County have been charged with murdering a 16-day-old infant in the fall of 2007.

The baby's uncle, 20-year-old Steve Lee Williams, Jr and his girlfriend 23-year-old Nicole Williams were indicted by Crisp County Grand jury.

They were charged with one count each of murder, felony murder and cruelty to children in the first degree.

Children Services told detectives that 16-day-old Travis Cook had been beaten and suffered brain injuries.

They are scheduled to appear in court March 13th.
