Colquitt -- New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant held his fifth-annual Kids Day Out Saturday.
The event is set up by the former Miller County and University of Georgia star, and brings kids from the surrounding communities together for giveaways, food, activities, and autographs.
NFL players like George Foster, Randy McMichael, and Leonard Pope joined Grant at Kids Day Out this year.
Grant estimates around 2,5000 kids will be at the event, from as far away as Albany and Dothan, Alabama.
The defensive lineman says it's a great way to set a positive example for kids.
"It's been a blessing, the kids really enjoy it," says Grant. "You got players like Randy McMichael, George Foster, Thomas Davis, Deuce McCallister and Leonard Pope. Those guys give up their time to give back to the community, and that means a lot to these kids."
Foster says, "Take a look around, it means a lot to the kids. I'm pretty sure they anticipate it coming around, every year, and the excitement builds up, because they get to come out here and have fun."
Charles Grant has 38.5 career sacks in six years with the Saints.
