Fifth arrest made in pot case

February 27, 2008

Tallahassee --  A Florida man was the fifth person to be arrested and charged federally for his involvement in a marijuana growing operation that started in Lee County and grew to include three counties and three states.

Twenty-nine year old Michael Francis True was arrested Tuesday in Tallahassee, Florida and is charged federally with storing marijuana plants in his home so they wouldn't be found by authorities searching another house.

True is the latest in the group that includes Bryan Pellicano, Ed Thomas Fulford the third, Charlotte Spencer and Margaret Shaw, who are charged with obstruction and helping to concealing grow operations in Terrell County.

It was in July that authorities first raided the two Lee County homes and unraveled the operation.
