Albany --  For the 4th time in six months, burglars hit an east Albany car wash.

Thousands of dollars in damage was left behind at D. J.'s downtown car wash. Sometime between Saturday night and Monday morning someone broke their gate, and stole the copper piping and wiring from the air conditioner.

Owner Gary Inlow said the thieves also broke into his storeroom, but he is not sure yet what was stolen.

Inlow said the thieves dragged two large barrels in front of the air conditioner, so they could hide behind them.

He estimates it will cost three to four thousand dollars to repair his air conditioner.
