Sylvester- Fire that destroyed a vacant funeral home building in Sylvester was arson.
Shepards Funeral Home on West Railroad Street closed a month ago and in the middle of the night, it caught fire.
Firefighters say in the four minutes it took them to respond over 60 percent of the building was engulfed. Fire Chief Marc Mount said they were immediately suspicious.
"It wasn't operational, there's wasn't even electricity on in the building," said Chief Marc Mount, Sylvester Fire Department.
Damages to the building totaled $200,000. Firefighters were able to save the Funeral home's two vehicles in the driveway. A $10,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.
