Albany -- Hundreds of people attended the Family Reunion Fest Saturday night in Albany.

Thirteen gospel groups and artists performed at the Civic Center. People came in their Sunday best and stood clapping to the music.

The event attracted a crowd of all ages. It also attracted people from the surrounding areas even from outside of Georgia.

"It's just a part of my life. It's something I deal with everyday keeping my focus on God. And keeping God in my spirit each and everyday. It's just been a pleasure to be here. And I thank God for allowing me to have a safe trip here. And I hope to have one back," said Calthy Thomas from Tallahassee, Florida.

The Family Reunion Fest has come to Albany in previous years. Organizers say it gets bigger and better each time.
