Albany -- The Red Cross is helping an east Albany family left homeless by a fire.

This was the scene just before six Thursday evening on Henri Avenue.

Albany Fire Crews had to avoid a power line that fell when a wall that the service line was bolted to collapsed.

One person was inside the home and tried to put out the flames with a garden hose.

Firefighters say an electrical short in a storage room started the fire.

No one was injured, but the home is a complete loss. The Red Cross has been called into to assist the family.
