The Lee County Sheriff's Department is now working with the Albany Crime stoppers. The Lee County Sheriff's Department asked to join the Albany Crime-stoppers program. The Sheriff's Department believes it will be a helpful tool in closing some cases.
Albany- Henry Pouliot was one of the last arrested in this area's largest marijuana manufacturing operation, this afternoon he was the first to appear in federal court on charges.
At three o'clock Pouliot made his first appearance and was charged with conspiracy to manufacture marijuana, more than a thousand plants or more. If convicted the charge carries a mandatory sentence of 20 to life.
Pouliot was arrested in December in after his fingerprints were found on evidence seized from Weymon Harris' home on Peachtree Lane. Pouliot was also seen at the grow house on Florida Short Route and had connections to Dean Slaymaker who was also charged in the case.
