Moultrie -- Colquitt County's hiring of Rush Propst made big news in Georgia and Alabama.
Monday night, Packer football fans got to meet their new coach.
Propst has been on the job with the Packers for about a week, and spoke to a crowd of around 100 people at the school.
Colquitt County fans hope Propst can have results in Moultrie similar to the ones he had at Hoover High, where the coach won five state championships.
Propst believes he can have success at Colquitt County, but cautions fans it's going to take time competing with the likes of Lowndes, Valdosta, and Northside-Warner Robins.
"I know how people in this town are excited about Friday nights, and know what Friday nights mean," says Propst. "We're going to try and change some mentalities, and play hard. The wins will come, I just don't know when that will be."
Colquitt County has gone 31-33 the past six seasons, including a 2-8 record last year.
