Albany--Firefighters are still trying to determine what started a house fire in an East Albany neighborhood earlier this morning.

The fire started around 4 AM at the corner of East Society and Central Avenue.

The fire fully engulfed the single story house and gutted the inside. Fortunately, firefighters were able to get the fire under control in a matter of minutes.

Crews with Water, Gas, and Light were dispatched to the scene to secure power lines that had fallen onto the road.

Firefighters say they believe the house was vacant, and they don't think anyone was inside the house when the fire started.

The cause of that fire remains under investigation.
