Thomasville-- There's a Youth Empowerment and Artist Showcase Friday evening at the Frederick Douglass Complex and Jack Hadley Black History Museum in Thomasville.

Saturday there's a free health screening and career fair, and an appearance by Mrs. United States, Stephanie Hunt.   "I mean when I walked in the doors here I was just in awe. I didn't know which way to turn. So that will be very exciting for most of the people that are coming out," says Hunt.

In addition to the kids learning some valuable history while having fun, there will also be a toy giveaway. Admission is $5 for kids, $7 for adults, or free if you donate a toy.
