Fitzgerald -- National Signing Day may be over, but that doesn't mean area high school football players are done signing college scholarships.
Fitzgerald high school Friday sent three players to the next level.
Offensive lineman Demarkus Duffie, offensive lineman Anthony Brooks, and linebacker Malcolm Lundy all signed to play college football.
Brooks and Lundy will play on the same team next season, as the duo heads to Valdosta State to join the Division II national champion Blazers.
Duffie made a 12th-hour decision to select Albany State over Clark Atlanta.
The lineman says he's happy to be playing close to home, and is looking to make an impact with the Rams.
"Got to work hard," says Duffie. "Don't miss no practices or nothing. Keep your head up. I like their offense, and the school. Great school."
Duffie is planning to red-shirt next year for the Rams.
Both Brooks and Lundy played in the GACA North-South All-Star game.
