Albany - For the first time this season the Deerfield-Windsor basketball team was pushed in the fourth quarter.
The Knights responded with a 53-44 win over Stratford.
It was the 900th career win for Deerfield-Windsor head coach Gordy Gruhl and the closest any team has come to beating Deerfield-Windsor this season.
After the game, Gruhl wanted to talk more about the fact his team needs to get in shape before the upcoming state tournament than his milestone victory.
Andre Young led Deerfield-Windsor with 25 points.
Stratford won the girls game 36-32.
Deerfield-Windsor closes out the regular season at home Friday night against Southland where the school will honor Gordy Gruhl for his 900th victory.
