Albany - The Deerfield-Windsor family had a little surprise before Tuesday's game with cross-town rival Sherwood Christian.
Deerfield-Windsor headmaster W.T. Henry was surprised to learn the school has decided to name their gym in his honor.
Henry recently announced he will retire in June of 2009.
During his tenure, Deerfield-Windsor's enrollment has almost doubled and their have been numerous facility improvements.
The board decided to name the gym in honor of Henry because of all the events held there like pto meetings, school assemblies and graduation.
Henry's family including daughter Lea Henry-Manning who is the head women's coach at Georgia State were all on hand for this very special surprise.
W.T. Henry said "I am certainly humble to have something like this named after me when so many of you made this happen."
W.T. Henry has been headmaster at Deerfield-Windsor since 1989.
