Lowndes County -  A traffic stop on Interstate 75 leads to three arrests and the recovery of hundreds of thousands worth of jewels.

Sonji Jackson, Johnnie Salter and Daphette Cooper of Mableton are charged with possession of stolen property.

Police in Gainesville believe Cooper is responsible for a burglary of jewelry store in Gainesville early Thursday morning.

They were attempting to reach Florida when Lowndes County deputies pulled them over for a window tint violation.

A search of their car turned up marijuana and $250,000 worth of jewelry.

Once back in Gainesville, Cooper will also be charged with burglary and criminal damage.
