Super Sunday means lots of pizza deliveries

February 3, 2008

Albany -- Those who didn't go out to pick up food had it delivered. Super Sunday had pizza shops busy all day.

Papa Johns experienced steady foot traffic during Sunday night's big game. And those making pizza deliveries were in and out all night.

There was so much extra demand that Papa Johns pulled out their portable trailer to help alleviate the workers inside.

"Its a lot busier than a normal Sunday. Its about 50 percent more busier on Super bowl Sundays. So far we have been pretty busy," said general manager, Christina Evans.

50 percent more means 750,000 pizzas and more than 1 million chicken wings were made Sunday night.

The Papa Johns trailer is normally just used for local football games and special events.
