Albany -- After some hard campaigning and winning the vote, it was time to celebrate for Albany city leaders Saturday night.

Newly elected and re-elected city commissioners and the mayor celebrated with an inauguration reception at the Flint Riverquarium Saturday night.

Regardless of the event's laid back atmosphere, they say they are ready to serve the city.

"And of course public safety will be number one on our agenda. Secondly we will look at the infrastructure of our city so with the growth of our state, we too in Albany can accommodate new business as they come," said City of Albany Mayor, Dr. Willie Adams Jr.

Mayor Willie Adams is now serving his second term.

Roger Marietta was recently elected, and Commissioners Jon Howard and Tommie Postell were also re-elected.
