Early County -- It was a deadly start to the weekend on South Georgia roads. Street racing is what killed one man in Early County Saturday afternoon.

State troopers responded to the scene at around noon.

They say two cars were racing on Bay street in front of Rainbow Farm when one of the vehicles flew off the road after going over a railroad track and hit a utility pole.

The other car fled the scene.

Troopers are not releasing the name of the man who died in the crash at this point because it's still under investigation.

If you have any information call the Early County Sheriff's Office at 229-723-3577.
