Brooks County -- One person was killed in a crash on a Brooks County highway Friday evening.

State troopers haven't released the 32-year-old man's name.

He was driving on Highway 221 a little before 5:30 p.m., when 20-year-old Elizabeth Buis, who was traveling north on Highway 221, ran off the road.

She over-corrected, and her car started to spin into his Nissan Maxima.

The driver of that car was killed.

Buis's car caught fire, but she got out.

She was treated at South Georgia Medical Center and released.

The Valdosta SCRT Team is still investigating.
