Nashville - It has been more than a decade since Berrien High has had a winning football season.
The Rebels believe that is about to change with the hiring of a new head coach.
Berrien High introduced Ryan Branch as the Rebels new head football coach and athletic director Friday morning.
The 33-year old Branch is very familiar to Berrien fans since he has been the head coach at region rival Brooks County for the past seven years.
At Brooks, Ryan Branch won a region title and took the Trojans to the AA state quarterfinals in 2004 and 2005.
Berrien High hasn't been to the postseason since 1993. Ryan Branch is ready to get to work to end that drought and having coached against the Rebels he believes will help him get that job accomplished even faster.
Ryan Branch said "I think I feel like I have got a leg up on knowing what these guys need and the things we need to get changed here. I think there is level of support here that is ready to make some changee."
Ryan Branch will succeed Ross New who resigned back in November.
