Albany-  Georgians are turning out in record numbers to cast a ballot in the Presidential primary.

Voters packed into the Flint River Resource Center in Albany Friday afternoon, the last day of early voting.

So far this week 176,611 Georgians have voted, and that doesn't include those who voted Friday. It beats the number who early voted in 2004, when just 48,411 cast ballots.

In Dougherty County, more than 3,000 have cast ballots.

"Advanced voting has gone very, very well. We've had over 1,500 almost 1,600 to vote as of today noon on Friday and we've still got the afternoon to do so it's been quite a good turnout," said Carolyn Hatcher, Dougherty County Elections Supervisor.

Election officials expect the turnout on Super Tuesday to be above average.
