Albany -- A federal grand jury in Albany convicted a former Sumter County Sheriff's Office employee on child pornography charges.
A little before 7:30 p.m. Thursday night, the jury returned a guilty verdict on all three counts against Thomas Lowery, Jr.
He's guilty of receiving child pornography, possessing child pornography and transporting a minor for sex.
Child porn was found on Lowery's work computer at the Sheriff's office in 2004.
Prosecutors say in 2001, Lowery took an 11-year-old boy to California for the purpose of having sex.
