Albany- New information on the arrest of an Albany businessman, federal law enforcement officers took Andy Barfield down in a drug sting.
The 54 year old Barfield was arrested Friday afternoon at a Welcome Center on Williams Road, north of Columbus. Drug Agents say he bought five kilos of cocaine from undercover officers. He's still in jail in Columbus and will face federal drug charges.
Barfield owns Barfield Rentals and Construction in Albany. He owns dozens of rental properties in Dougherty and Lee Counties. WALB News Ten has learned Barfield recently defaulted on a 1.2 million dollar loan with Security Bank.
