Thomasville-- Despite a recent change in location, the Thomas County Registrar's office stayed busy Monday.   This is the first election at their new office on Smith Avenue in Thomasville.

Election officials say they had a steady stream that began at 8 a.m. and continued all day. In fact they've never had such a large turnout for advanced voting for this type of election.

"The Presidential Preference usually does not have a big turnout but if the rest of the week goes like today we'll be voting probably around 1000 voters," says Lisa Ouzts, Chief Deputy Registrar.   Around 100 advance votes were already cast in Thomas county by noon today.
