January 28, 2008

Albany -- Georgians will soon have their voices heard for who they want as the next United States President.

Early voting for the Georgia Primary is now underway.

The state's presidential primary is not until February 5th, but state law allows for a one-week early voting period.

Voters who wish to cast their vote early will need to remember to have a valid I. D.

The voting machines for Dougherty County will be set up at the Riverfront Resource Center at 125 Pine Avenue and runs through Friday.

Hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Registered voters can also request an absentee ballot through Friday.
